Eritrea
Eritrea, located in Eastern Africa, is officially known as the State of Eritrea. The economy of Eritrea, like other African countries, is based on agriculture and most of the population is engaged in farming. Chief agricultural products include barley, beans, dairy products, millet, sorghum, teff, lentils, vegetables, corn, cotton, tobacco and wheat. The unexploited natural resources of the country are gold, potash, zinc, copper and salt. Main industries of the country are food processing, beverages, clothing and textiles, light manufacturing, salt and cement. Livestock are raised including sheep, cattle, goats and camels. |
